Product Workroom Will Provide Direct Communication Between Product Sponsors, Investment Advisors and Investors.
iPrism Global, Inc. (iPG), maker of the MyOffice® line of web-based work collaboration portal products and services, has announced the launch of a new product for the financial services industry, a web-based product workroom that will provide direct and instant communication among product sponsors, investment advisors and individual investors.
Each investment advisor will have direct, Single-Sign-On (SSO) access to a product workroom specifically tailored to their business practice. The web-based workroom will allow product sponsors to place marketing materials, investment and legal documents, product training and seminar information, sales information, and similar documents and information in indexed digital binders for easy access and use by the advisors. By making this information available 24/7 through any web browser, investment problems and delays associated with misplaced and out-of-date documents, as well as the attendant mailing and delivery costs, will be eliminated. Similar workrooms for qualified individual investors will also be available, allowing the digital delivery of investment documents, account information and product marketing information.
“There are a lot of competing investment products in any number of categories available to investors,” said iPG CEO Gregg Barcus, “Our new product workroom will make it easy for an investment advisor to identify, research, and recommend the appropriate product for their investor clients. That will provide a competitive advantage to product sponsors using the new technology. Bottom line, when everything else is equal, making it easier and faster for an investment advisor to recommend and sell a particular product will drive a product sponsor’s sales volumes.”
The workrooms can be linked directly to existing product sponsor back office systems and databases, or can be easily maintained using manual upload of the documents and data by the product sponsors.

iPrism Global, Inc (iPG) has announced that its application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to register the “MyOffice” trademark has been approved.
“Over the past several months, we have been moving to brand our line of web-based work collaboration portal products and services under the MyOffice name. We are excited to have USPTO approval of the registration of that trademark,” said iPG CEO Gregg Barcus. “We have been working internally and with marketing consultants to develop strategies to refine and sharpen our market positioning and branding, and with the USPTO approval now in hand, we will be rolling out a number of marketing and branding initiatives over the next several months.”
The MyOffice name was chosen to reflect online work environments that look and act like real offices. MyOffice combines a familiar, intuitive environment with a full array of workflow tools that users need for their everyday activities. Barcus explains, “With every user having the ability to customize their office as they desire, we think our solution truly can become ‘MyOffice’ for every user.”
To showcase the new MyOffice branding, iPG launched a new customer-facing website incorporating new corporate graphics and explanations.
“While our portal products and services are built on very advanced software and Internet technologies, our portal functionality and benefits to customers are very easy to describe and be understood,” said Barcus. “Our new website and other marketing materials touch on several easy-to-understand themes and issues that we think will resonate with potential clients seeking to address these issues in their own workplace.”
iPrism Global, Inc (iPG), maker of the MyOffice® line of web-based work collaboration portal products and services, has announced the full launch of Berthel One, a web-based enterprise work portal it developed for Berthel Fisher & Company (BFC) of Marion, Iowa. “Berthel had been looking for two years for a way to consolidate its employees and independent representatives nationwide onto a single web-based platform. They were looking for a robust enterprise solution that was in turn quick and easy to deploy and use. We are proud that Berthel chose MyOffice as that solution.” The launch followed a beta launch in mid-2010.
The Berthel One portal was deployed to provide a single, web-based collaboration portal that seamlessly integrates all the work tools and workflows that are used every day in Berthel’s Broker-Dealer business.
Key components of the portal include:
“We had looked at several options to meet our needs, but those options generally involved extensive development work and the high costs and long time frames that went with that work,” said Thomas Berthel, Chairman and CEO of Berthel Fisher. “The MyOffice solution came with a great deal of the base functionality in place, so customization was relatively painless. iPrism worked with our staff and reps to create a customized solution that integrated all of our tools and workflows into a single platform. While our industry isn’t generally welcoming of process change, as our people have got to know and use Berthel One, they have come to appreciate the improvements it makes to their own practices. We also appreciate the significant overhead cost savings it has meant for our company through consolidation of services. We truly feel that the technologies we have deployed through Berthel One represent the future of our company, as well as the future of our industry.”
